So, in my last post I left on Monday evening...Tuesday we had class again. After class we went to the most famous
art gallery in Russia, called Tretyakovskaya. Here is a link to there website, for anyone interested in art:
Tretyakovskaya gallery There were so many famous paintings is was amazing! Afterwards we went a famous cafe in Moscow called "Cafe Chocolate" and then walked back to the Metro through the Red Square.

Wednesday we left
at 8am to Yasniya
Poliana, which was Tolstoy's estate. What a bus ride! It took us 3 hours
to get there. The estate was simple, but beautiful. We saw where Tolstoy
work on his novels, where he walked, taught peasant children, and played
with his kids. On our way home we stopped in the town of Tula, which is
famous for making Samovars and a sweet bread with imprints on it. After
a 3 hour bus ride back home (about 7:30pm!), I grabbed a bus outside of
the university (I didn't even go back inside!) rode it to the Metro and
took it to the Leningradskaya Hilton Hotel, where I met (guess who!)
mom and grandma! I stayed at the hotel until
almost 11, and then caught the Metro back to the dorm. What a day!!!

It's very, very late here, so I need to go to bed. I hope everyone is well, and hopefully I will be able to catch up to date tomorrow evening (morning for you all!). P.S. Mom informed me that I have comments set for only people with Google accounts. I changed it so that anyone can comment. I would love to hear from you guys!
Well, it sure sounds like you have been kept busy!! What an adventure. So glad that all worked out for you to go. Hope things continue to be a great learning experience for you and your group. Miss seeing your smiling face around here, but so glad that you are posting pictures with you smiling there!!

I have been so crazy busy it isn't even funny! It is a wonderful learning experience! I am able to see where my Russian is good, and also what I need to work on. I am so happy, though, because I have been able to understand almost everything so far! The downside, however, is that I cannot answer so easily. I miss you guys so much too! Every once in a while when I think of how long I have left until I see everyone it is really hard, but then I think how long I have already been here (11 days!) and how fast they have gone by, it makes it a little bit better.
